Im looking for any suggestions

Should i wait for zen+

i also have a 1050 ti

Solution
I would scrap the CPU cooler The 2200g comes with a decent stock cooler. I would also not go with the cooler master PSU. I prefer something from Seasonic, EVGA, or Corsair. Everything else looks pretty good.

No, the PSU is fine. Cooler Master makes PSU's just as good as SeaSonic. Also yea ditch the CPU cooler the stock one is plenty, unless your gonna overclock, then get something like a hyper 212 evo. As for the rest it looks fine. Also remember to dedicate at least 2gb's of ram to your I GPU for good performance, its set stock at 512 mb's which will be super slow.

Is this a hard limit or could you spend a bit more? I would really suggest getting an SSD and upping the memory to 16gb's. I was going to ask why you went with the APU if you were buying a video card, and then I noticed the prices in canada and the fact that the R3 1200 is the exact same price. Unless you plan on doing some overclocking, you dont really need the CPU cooler since the bundled one does a decent job. Also its not a bad idea to wait, I believe Zen+ should be launching in the next month or 2.

That's true, also you won't get video outs with the APU in to do it, so you'll need to get in touch with AMD if it doesn't boot they will send you an Athlon CPU to slot in that will work and all you have to do is send the CPU back once you get the APU working.

All in all, I would recommend you wait for Zen+ to drop, then depending on the price you can snatch up an R7 1700 or something if the 2nd gen is too much. I would recommend getting 16gb's of ram, but the 8 should do you fine until prices drop. The PSU is fine, I recommend an SSD if you can fit it, and the CPU cooler is unneeded unless you get one without a cooler then consider something like a small AIO or a hyper 212 evo or something similar that supports AM4, hope this helped.

CPU prices don't drop like that just because a new one is out.
A SSD is nice to have but not really for a budget build the money you spend on that can be put into the actual performance parts, CPU and video card.
Most Cooler Master power supplies are JUNK they do have a few decent ones made for them as they actually make no power supplies their all rebrands. That PSU is from a HEC platform and should not be compared to a brand like Seasonic unless you buy one of the Cooler Master V series that are made by Seasonic.

I'm not saying the CPU prices will drop instantly, but they will drop some to a lower price, and I'm suggesting an SSD if it's in the budget, and the Masterwatt PSU from Cooler Master is a good PSU, there not junk there way better than most of the stuff you can get and if he's trying to save a little money that's plenty.

Yes i would agree with the ssd and 16gb of ram but It is not in my budget... I will be over clocking and it can get pretty toasty.... I can find the cooler on sale for around $10

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpECFc4nlmI&t=426s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkRAVwpbNEI&t=1s

I agree that I should wait, I heard there will be about a $30 price drop......

I have another idea on saving money, I already have a old HP pavilion and i can get a fully modular PSU since there is no cable management. Playing a flight sim... very cpu taxing it gets to about 50C on a intel quad core q8200

Think its safe to use the case? im find with it cutting me lmao

this should fill all your needs, its more than you need but should allow for upgradeability in the future, also it will be under less load meaning it will be quieter and produce less heat. If you can't afford 16gb's ram or an SSD that's perfectly fine. Since you wan't to overclock the stock cooler is only good for a small overclock so your going to want to get a new cooler. So are you trying for a really heavy overclock on the CPU and GPU? If so you may want an AIO or consider a custom loop. If you aren't trying for super high speeds you should be fine with something like a Hyper 212 Evo or a similar tower cooler.

So are you trying for a really heavy overclock on the CPU and GPU? If so you may want an AIO or consider a custom loop

If the guy cant afford an SSD or 16gb of RAM then how is he supposed to even consider a custom loop? A custom loop would cost as much as the whole system and is silly to even suggest.

Don't spend your money right now on a aftermarket cooler when you are building a budget system like this. Use the wraith cooler that comes with the CPU and see how it performs when you get it. You may be very surprised. Then you can make an informed purchase because you will know if you actually need a better cooler.

You are looking at on of the most budget CPUs on the market, any extra money on cooling that CPU could go towards a better CPU. For example, getting the 2200g and the Cryorig cooler he suggested would cost around $160. It is not hard to find a 1600 on sale for much more.

https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Cooler-YD1600BBAEBOX/dp/B06XNRQHG4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1520348287&sr=8-1&keywords=r5+1600

Going with the 1600 will give you much better performance and it will save you a lot of headache dealing with a bios update requirements. Considering you have a 1050ti, you are paying for integrated graphics that you wont be using in the 2200g. I would save a little bit more money and get the 1600. While CPU prices don't drop after a new launch, you may see vendors provide sales to clear some of their inventory.

The 8100 is also a good buy that will perform better than the 2200g for the same price. I just wish that there were H370 boards available.

He stated he wanted to overclock, so he's gonna need more than the stock cooler, also yes you can easily watercool a CPU and even a GPU for under $250 which includes a block for the CPU and GPU, but there are also options for just a CPU and smaller Rad for a lot cheaper, and it was just a suggestion.

Actually, no he wont need more than a stock cooler.

Suggesting a custom loop that for a 2200g and a 1050ti is... not smart (that is the nicest way I can put it). It makes you sound like you don't know what your talking about and you lose any credibility you may of had.

Like I said earlier, it was an idea. It was supposed to be there for the op to infer that a heavy overclock will need good cooling. I know it's not a good idea at this price point. Also he said he was overclocking, and depending on how much of an overclock he is willing to do he will need more than a stock cooler if he wan'ts decent thermals.

Yes I agree with you there, the 2200g is same price as the 1200 here in canada.. I also like messing with the bios. I can wait and see if I need more than the stock cooler, and wait for zen+ yes? Ill use an old pre built case and have a HDD

i did a bit of looking around on PC Parts Picker and I came up with this. It may be a bit expensive for you now but you can always save, i noticed it was more expensive than what you had before but the Ryzen 5 paired with your 1050 will be faster than it paired with your 2200g. Here's a little secret, both Ryzen APU's use 8 lanes of the 16 they have for the IGPU, leaving 8 lanes for a dedicated GPU, this means you'll be running a card at half performance, but considering most cards can't saturate a gen 3 16x slot but you will see a loss in FPS, LTT tested this and they saw an average of about 5 fps dropped in games once you run a dedicated card, and seeing as you already have one whats the point? You can modify this to run a Ryzen 3 if you want but this should be perfect.
