I want to build a pc but some parts made me hesitate. I don't know if I want the new i5-8400 or the AMD Ryzen 1600 in my build. If I go for the Ryzen one I have the Asus Prime B350m-a motherboard in mind but if I go for the i5 I don't know which motherboard is good and "futureproof". My computer is mostly for gaming but also for editing photos / videos (Adobe- Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects). (For the graphicscard I chose the Asus GeForce GTX 1060 dual OC 3G)

I wan't to build the pc inside the NZXT S340 but I also don't know if the motherboards have enough fan pins to connect to the fans inside the case.

Could you guys help me out?
Thanks!

For gaming only, 8400. Basic editing of videos and photos is also 8400. But if you are doing some heavy editing, Ryzen. They have the same number of cores, so either should be good. The 8400 should get more FPS in gaming however, due to its SCP.

If you will use the 8400, since you wont overclock any board will do. But if you want a more future proof, I would say Z370 killer, which offers alot of ports, wifi and very decent VRMs if you buy a K CPU in the future.
