I tried to turn on my computer after i was done building it, but it would not boot even though all the fans and the led from the motherboard worked perfectely well.

SPECS:
cx500m corsair 500W
Intel I5 8600k
Asus z370 prime-p
Amd rx 480 8gb sapphire nitro+
56gb ssd
1tb hdd
8gb 2x4 corsair vengeance

Uses around 420W full load on a watt calculator.

Solution
56GB is enough for windows but not much else, but it should not matter to whether the motherboard posts.

The first step before even booting and installing, is to make sure all tbe basics are in place, including checking over the correct monitor connector as it has already been mentioned many times.

Next step is to make sure you can get into bios, press f2, del, etc. to get into the bios to double check the settings. Listen for the beep codes during this process. If you can't hear any beeps, you need to double check things over. Do not skip this step, because if you can not that means there is very high chance that motherboard is garbage and needs to be returned and exchanged.

I don't mean to make you sound like an idiot, but is your monitor plugged into the GPU instead of the motherboard? Also, is 56gb's enough for windows? That's a very small drive.

If you can get into bios and check things over and did not get a bunch of odd beeps during the beep process, the next step to do you memory test. Get memtest86 and run it for 24 hours non-stop at least (for my personal builds for myself I'd do 72 hours, I've caught ddr4 failing after 45 hours and such, very frustrating). Shake out and potential memory stability issues. You should have already set the memory to the expected timings while you were in bios. The last thing you want is flaky memory messing up your OS install and corrupting the disk along the way and creating more problems on a new build.

Your GPU might be DOA, do you have another computer you can test it in that you know has worked with other cards?
