I have done much research and have tweaked and tuned my Dell Latitude E6400. It currently has a T9550 2.6GHz in it, but I was wanting to further expand this by buying an upgradeable motherboard.

So my question is, what is a motherboard that will fit in this model that will support the Core 2 Quads? Or, hopefully at least a Core 2 Duo, or even an i3/i5. And which processors would it support?

People have posted everywhere that the M2400 motherboard is able to be a replace, but it doesn't give much of an upgrade. Thank you!

This is an old model, it was launched back in 2008, there is not much to upgrade. The maximum it supports is a Core 2 Duo T9900 - 2,8Ghz and 8Gb RAM at 800Mh. And also, perhaps an SSD for maximum performance. A MoBo upgrade however is not possible.
