Should I get the Gtx 1060 6gb or Gtx 980?

After months of waiting for the GPU craze to die down, I've finally gotten a chance to grab a GPU to finish my 1st PC build. Now comes the hard part, I'm trying to decide between a Gtx 1060 6gb or Gtx 980, both preowned.

The 980 is $250, and the 1060 is $260 Asus dual 6gb OC. The 1060 has warranty still.

I would grab the 980 since it's cheaper, but it seems like it will result in greater energy bills.
I pay around 17C /kWh. And I have a Ryzen 6 1600, with one hard drive, and a Gigabyte Gaming 3 mobo, with a 520W PSU. Not sure if it's worth getting the 1060 over the 980 or vice versa. If I get the 980 how much greater bills can I expect to incur? I read that the 980 is around 175W.

Thank you very much!

That sounds kind of absurdly high, don't you think? How can I tell how many watts of actual usage would be?

I went for extreme case, you wouldnt pull that much and certainly not 24/7?

Difference between the two cards would not even be 10bucks different in a year's use.

To get an idea how much your system would use

You know what. You're right. I'm being stupid. Thank you. I was considering it because it seems like it will be much better than the asus dual 6gb card. Plus, a the time, it would've costs me $275 for the 1060, but I manged to negotiate it down. I am still a bit confused on how to calculate how much power a GPU will use. Can you offer any help with that?

I edited my post above. The anandtech benchmarks have power use. The 1060 is a newer, more efficient architecture.
