Hello, I was following a recommendation from a reddit user to run this piece of software to completely Uninstall my video drivers

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

Looking at comments on the reddit thread and on the website it looked very legitimate, downloading the software also looked legitimate.

However when I ran it and it attempted to restart my computer, it’s was left at a black screen for a good 20 mins, I then force turnt off my PC and attempted to turn it back on again, ever since, my computer has just shown a black screen.

LEDs on the case start, fand start turning and noises go ahead like normal but the screen never showstopper with anything, not even a manufacturer logo to tell me how to enter the bios.

I’ve tried turning on the PC then each pressing Delete, f12,f11 and f10 to see if a bios screen would come up, burn it makes no difference, I’ve also tried just leaving it for a while, I left it for 2 hours and with no avail.

Please help, I have no idea what could be wrong, and I really cannot wipe this PC clean, it has school work which I cannot remove on here.

DDU is a legitimate piece of software used by many IT users for clearing old display drivers. I would have downloaded it from a more secure source (it's own website - Wagnardsoft), but that's just me.

You'll be getting a black screen because the drivers you once had are now gone. So the GPU by all accounts isn't recognised.

So do you have integrated graphics? If so, use your integrated graphics instead to access the PC and download the latest GPU drivers from the manufacturers website. It may also be worth resetting your CMOS and see if that helps the issue.
