You really don't need to spend $3500 for a gaming PC, not even in this market. You will start to have diminishing returns where an few extra percent boost in performance cost 1k. The best CPU on the market for gaming is the 8700k and the best GPU is the 1080ti. So you should build your system around these two components. You could spend $600 on a motherboard, but it wont necessarily translate into more fps in games. You could also go with a hybrid cooler for the 1080ti, but it cost $550 more than the one selected here and you will only see a few percentage points improvement. Not worth the additional cost.

As for keyboard and mouse, I suggest you go try them in a store. They really depend on what feels right and that will vary...
