So I'm trying to decide between a few builds. First of all I have an i7 6700k paired with a gtx 980 as my main rig. It's down stairs at my desk.

My wife games on my home server which is a 1700 with a gtx 950.

I need a PC to play in my room and when I travel on vacation a few times a year.

My plans are to upgrade my gtx 980 once Nvidia releases some new gpus. I'll put my old 980 in the wife's PC and take her gtx 950 mini card for the mini itx build.

I'm looking at these two builds (I already have 8gb ddr4 2666mhz ram left over from a previous build)

Or

I'll also take other recommendations.

Would I benefit from going with the 2200g over the g4560 paired with a gtx 950? Keep in mind this will only be for lighter gaming, I do all my work related stuff on my 1700.

I'm caught between saving a few bucks with the g4560 or going with the stronger 2200g with the nice iGPU and a better upgrade path if I need to in the future for more cash.

Also I've tried the steam link but, too much input lag etc.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, later on if you can get a i7 (7700K or something similar) for cheaper it should lasts for a few years. I'm using a 4770K (2014) at stock currently and I'm having no issues for gaming.

If your are concerned about it though then go with the 2200G/B350 motherboard.
