Price Difference in ROG STRIX 1080 Ti?

This is a very quick question. I'm looking into building a PC, and I plan to use the Asus ROG STRIX 1080 Ti (ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce® GTX 1080 TI 11GB OC Edition VR Ready 5K HD Gaming HDMI DisplayPort DVI Overclocked PC Graphics Card) card in the build. I found the card on Fry's, but surprisingly it was only about $1000. In this market, this came as a surprise to me. On Amazon and Newegg, the same exact card ran for about $1500. I checked the VRAM, the boost clock, the frame buffer, and all the other things I could see but didn't notice any major differences. What am I missing, or why is there such a big price difference between the sites? Below I've provided the exact links I used when referencing this question.

Thanks in advance to all responses.

Okay, but is there any difference in actual quality of the card?

No, but it would be best to buy from Fry's for the warranty. If you buy from a 3rd party seller most of the time you aren't covered by the manufacturers warranty

Another key difference: one of those is out of stock while the other two aren't.

If you actually want to buy, it doesn't matter how much cheaper Fry's and others are while they are perpetually sold-out. Your only options if you want to buy in the near future and don't want to hound down every retailer hoping to manage to complete an order before they're sold out again is those expensive third-party re-sellers.
