Pc spec :
CPU : i5-5930K
MOBO : Asus 99x sabertooth
GPU : MSI GTX970 SLI-3way
Ram : Corsair dominator DDR4 16GB
Storage :Samsung evo840 250GBx3
PSU : 1200w platinum .

My setting are 2GPU running SLI and another running physx , im not sure am i right for the setting ...

I am a gamer but not hardcore type , games i play often are dota2/PUBG/BF1 all of the games are working fine but it comes to PUBG ( maybe force single GPU )
My fps will drop sometimes if i enter a house or room , i have to lower down the render setting to solve this problem ...
So i am considering to sell all my GTX970 to get a GTX1080 instead , is this a good idea or it’s just my setting problem ? Sorry i am not an expert in PC , i don’t even know is my SSD running raid or normal :( need some help and advice , thanks and appreciate.

Solution
No, i wouldnt set a single gpu for physx. Each cards physx performance is enough.

not sure what the games limitations are but for sure, sell those 970s (they go for $230+ each on ebay) and get yourself a 1080 or 1080ti.
Way less hassle. Fluent performance with no stuffing around. Your elec bill will be alot less. Your computer room wont bake with heat.

Its sometimes hard to recover decent % with a used monitor but given your budget i recommend looking at a 16:9 (or 21:9) 32" 1440p monitor.
The gtx 1080 can run it and itll be the best, most noticable thing you can do with your pc. I went with the samsung s32d850t (aka LS32d85) Its only around $384 on amazon. an effing bargain.
recommend 16:9 as its much more practical with other...

What resolution you play at? what monitor(s) do you have?
Looks like theres a problem with SLI and that game.

A single GPU is ideal. SLI or crossfire has many issues with microstuttering, heat, power draw, software issues etc.
Looks like you had a decent budget with that pc. Sell the 970s & get a 1080 or ideally a 1080ti

If youre at 4k you will still need to lower settings. 1440p is all good.

recommend 16:9 as its much more practical with other pc uses such as web, video, work etc. Also much more compatible with games.
