Hello, i recently got an new (old) computer, which was formatted and the HDD has nothing on it.
when i boot it up, i get the "Reboot and select proper boot device" message, which is understandable, as i dont have an OS. however, i tried to install windows with a disc, but got the same result. as i dont have an USB drive, i decided to try to Extract the windows 10 ISO-File straight to the hdd of the PC with my other PC. it still shows the same error message.

I have checked all loose connections and boot order. when i boot with the HDD with the windows 10-ISO file extracted, it still just gives the error message.

It might also be that im missing something or extracted the iso-file wrong, or something else, im not very experienced when it comes to installing OS. A Step-by-step guide for installing OS by extracting the files straight to the HDD with another computer would be nice. i believe im doing something wrong, but not sure though. just in case you need them, here are the specs of the PC i have:

CPU: Intel core 2 duo e8400 3.00GHZ
GPU: amd radeon r7 240
MoBo: ASUS P5KPL-AM
RAM: DDR2 dual-channel 667mhz 2gb.
HDD: Samsung HD161HJ 7200rpm
PSU: 400w

Extracting the iso file to the new computer's HDD isn't going to work, because when Windows gets installed, it writes over everything on the HDD. Which version of Windows are you trying to install? Where did you get the iso file on your DVD? Did you use Microsoft's Media Creation Tool to create the bootable media (DVD)?
