Hi There,

Here is a quick spec rundown on my PC.

AMD FX-6100 3.3Ghz cpu
4x4Gig DDR3 Corsair 1600Mhz Ram
Gigabyte GTX 770 2G GPU
Raidmax 730W PSU
1x 120Gig Hdd
1x 250Gig Hdd
2x 2Tb Hdd

Ok now that that is sorted here is my problem.

I am currently playing Dauntless and i am able to do 5-6 hunts after one another with no problems and then other times i wont even be able to complete a single hunt. A hunt normally lasts roughly 15-30min.

My pc may at times not crash once with 5-10 consecutive hunts and other times it will crash 5min into the first hunt.

When the PC crashes i get no error messages/blue screens or anything like that. It instantly powers down without warning and then the power light on my power switch will just keep flashing.

I then physically have to switch the pc off at the power supply and then switch it back on to get the PC to startup again.

I have previously had the same problem on Assassins Creed 3 and Aliens vs. Predator.

I will greatly appreciate any assistance with this problem i am experiancing.

Regards
SJP

PS: On a side note this does not happen with every game i play, i also play LoL/Dark Souls Collection/ EVE Online, Fortnite, Call of Duty Collection ect... never had a single crash on any of them

Raidmax power supply is rated at +12V1@24A, +12V2@24A.
Video card requires 600 watt power supply.

I would not rate a Raidmax very high on quality. As with most low-end power supplies the wattage is weighted towards the +5v and +3.3v lines and the +12v just can't maintain the required supply of power that you think you paid for. Compare to better models and you will see a difference in the voltages and amperage ratings listed on the label. The one you have is more like a 550-600 watt model.

Hi Calvin,

Thank you for the quick response. I thought it might be something like that, PSU's are very expensive at the moment.

So based on my current spec i have had a look at a Antec TP-750C 750W GOLD Power Supply @ R1299.00 currently on special, which is a better quality psu than what i have currently, would this do the trick or am i going to have to fork out roughly R 2000.00 for a 850W PSU.
