Will my GPU still work if I remove the plate cover that shields the HDMI and display ports? I needed to test a build and the case was rubbing against the gpuplate so I removed it so it would fit in the motherboard. Long story short, build won't work. So I'm trying to remove all possibilities. Thank you.

Solution
That shield is ground for HDMI and DP ports but actually only for shielding their cables, there's couple more ground wires inside so it should work without "shields".

Awesome. The Asus b350 mobo didn't line up with my crappy xigmatex recon case standoffs, so I am trying to just make it work ...thanks.
