I currently have an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz Processor, Socket 1150.
My current Motherboard is: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H81M-D PLUS. What are some upgrades to my motherboard, will I have upgrade my CPU as well since its a socket 1150? I am currently looking for a new GPU as well Currently running a ASUS 760ti gtx 2gb. I am waiting for evga to notify me when they get some cards in stock. Probably looking at getting a 1060SC (single fan) 6gb.. Currently using this PC for MMO gaming, as well as general use (browsing web etc.) My gtx 760 runs World of Warcraft on High/Ultra settings at 60 fps like a champ, its the V Ram I am worried about as time progresses. Since I'm running with a 1150 LGA socket, I fear my options are limited.. Please tell me I am wrong!! LOL

Lately it has been made easy. "You can boot into the UEFI control panel and use a built-in update utility to connect to the Internet and flash the latest firmware from the manufacture’s server..."
About doing it the old school way and creating a back up you can read more in this guide:

I do not see a reason for changing your motherboard. You can meke a BIOS update, just download the file from the manufacturer´s website:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/H81MD_PLUS/HelpDesk_BIOS/
The board supports 4th generation intel processors up to the i7-4790

Your i5 wil run fine with the gtx1060, you will not be limited by your components.

You make it sound so easy.. "just download the file from manufacturer's website." When in fact its not that simple, there are steps that have to be completed before downloading a new BIOS version, if I happened to be a novice at Computer IT. I would end up spending hours trying to fix/resolve.

What are your goals for a different motherboard?

A new one on the same socket and CPU won't give you any real performance difference.
A new CPU, or newer motherboard, will require changing both. And possibly RAM (DDR4) as well if you go really new.

Updating my BIOS would be useless, I haven't experienced any problems thus far. I guess I am just wanting a new gpu, NVidia just sent email about some 1060's in stock no more than 10 seconds elapsed and its back to "notify me." must be a hoax.. At this rate I might just purchase a 1050 ti.. There seems to be plenty in stock and it would still be a significant increase to my 760gtx..

No, that wasn't a 'hoax'.
Mid to upper range GPU's are sold as fast as they appear online. They literally sell out within seconds.

Blame the current coin mining craze.

No, not a scam.
Either they are hugely overpriced, or simply out of stock as soon as they appear.
Not just direct from NVidia. Amazon, Newegg, etc, etc....It's the same all over, and has been for months.
