I've been wanting to get more RAM ever since I started upgrading my pc and I recently decided to offer a trade with my brother. His 16gb ddr4-2133 for my 8gb ddr4-2400, a logitech g603 and $50. He bought a prebuilt and doesn't really want 16gb.
My question is, is it really worth it? I mean to me it is but i don't know how much of a difference it's going to make.

My build (things i think would matter in this scenario):
-Asus 1080 turbo
-Ryzen 7 1700
-msi b350m gaming pro motherboard.

You could actually get the 16gb ram and overclock it to 2400mhz, if u wanted to.
BUT I actually would get the 16gb because of ur rig.
And to be more future proof.

It will only make a difference if the game or application you are using will use more than 8gb of system RAM if you have it. However very few games will use more than 8gb of system RAM, in those games having 16gb vs 8 wont do anything.

If it's worth it to you then go for it, I would try to get them down to $30.
