2nd monitor won't keep 4k resolution, jumps back to 1080p

I just formatted my pc and now the 2nd monitor (4k television) won't keep the 4k resolution. I can set the resolution to 4k in Nvidia control panel but it will automatically return to 1080p in ten seconds.
Also, when the 2nd monitor is in 1080p mode, the desktop is not completely visible. The picture is slightly bigger than the screen. I have the latest Nvidia drivers and I just can't come up with any solution.

Everything worked perfectly before I formatted the system.

Okay I just solved the problem and it was so retarded. There was the "do you want to keep these options" -timer when changing the resolution, and for some reason it didn't show to me. After reinstalling drivers everything works fine.
