Buying a used PC for video editing+drawing+animation

Its a couple years old but im gonna up the ram to 16gb and eventually upgrade the proccesor. Can it handle a gtx 750ti? I was told gpus can help with editing and that i might want to get one. Also how would that pc handle editing as is.
