Hello I have a very weird issue with my psu it’s a decent tier one PSU but in one game it makes very strange noises that change pitch when I move around in game and it is only ONE game does not happen in stress tests or much better graphics games the game is car mechanic sim 2018 and I play much more graphically demanding games than this. I have put a sample of sound below I basically want to know 100percent if this is someth8ng to worry about or if I can damage my system this is a very very new build and cost me close to 2000 pounds I cannot afford to rebuild if this breaks things and it has me worried

Maybe I can explain a bit more

basically if I load game with no cars in shop it’s fine but minute I get a order and car spawns in garage and I look at cars the sound starts then the pitch of sound changes depending on where I’m looking on car

also even more confusing is if I load car mechanic sim first thing in morning as soon as pC is booted I can play for hours with no sound from PSU however if I close game then play another game for a hour or so the re launch car mechanic sim I get sound when looking at the car I was working on with no issues for four hours

Even more confusing is if I reboot pC before launching game I get no noise either I’m so lost with this issue

thank you

Yes it’s defiantly from PSU
Yes I use vsync
Yes cables are all in properly
Yes it’s in own socket
No it’s not fan blades it doesn’t use fans in PSU

I have been to many forums with this issue with no luck so here are some upfront answers from me

Put game on os drive no difference and most of pC is fanless no fans can touch and it’s only the one game it happens in

Also a little added info if I launch google chrome then the game I get the noise every time but if I close game then google and re launch game no noise it is 100 percent from PSU I’m so confused and with all my years expertise with computers all I can think of is maybe it’s the regulator in the PSU but I’m not even sure on this main thing I want to know is it safe to use my system cost me 2500 pounds which for me is not a small amount and would take me a few months of saving to fully rebuild

Also thank you for being the only person so far willing to help
