I Just finished building my new gaming PC and the first time i started it up i powered it on and after about a second it immediately powered off. After inspecting the motherboard and all the parts I noticed a bent pin on the CPU socket. I attempted to bend the pin back and now you can hardly tell the pin was ever bent. But the PC still powers off immediately on startup. But if i start up the PC without any CPU present it starts up and continues to run, but of course no display is shown on my monitor. I'm not sure i there is something I'm not seeing that is the problem or if I just got a fault motherboard or CPU.

List of PC Components:
Case- Thermaltake Core v71 Tempered Glass E-ATX Full Tower
GPU- Radeon HD6570 2GB DDR3 (note this is a filler gpu until i can afford a better one)
CPU- Intel i5 8600k LGA 1151 6-core 3.6ghz
PSU- EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 80+ GOLD 750W
Motherboard- MSI Pro Series Intel Z270 DDR4
RAM- Ballistix Sport LT 16gb (8gbx2) DDR4 288-pin
HDD- SeaGate 1TB Barracuda SATA 6gb/s
CPU Cooler- CRYORIG H7 Tower Cooler

All answers and replys are greatly appreciated.

Your motherboard and cpu are not compatible. The 8th gen Intel cpus need a 3xx series chipset they will not work on the 1xx and 2xx series boards and you have a 2xx series board.
