Hey! first of all thanks for taking a look. I have a computer with an SSD and HDD. ( i can give specs on those later if needed ). a couple months after having the PC and gaming on it routinely, it started to freeze up at random & programs would stop responding. Windows is installed on the SSD, along with some programs that were crashing (steam, teamspeak). When rebooting, i’d get the black “insert boot drive” screen after seeing the MSI logo where you can access bios. Before i’d get freezing, but would boot into windows after a few tries or if i got lucky on the first. now i can’t even boot into windows. could my SSD just be dying? i’m going to try to install windows on the HDD with a USB tomorrow

Solution
if you can try taking ssd out, connect via sata to USB cable and try to open it on another system. If you can then some SMART data would be good to go further.

Yes i have, that’s what i found weird about it. I have a very strong feeling the SSD is just poop. My computer doesn’t even recognize it to boot windows.

Just thinking about it...Have you tried using another SATA cable maybe?
