Is my PSU compatible with a GTX 1080?

Complete begginer here, I bought a pre-built PC a couple of years back and am looking to upgrade, it's currently a mini ITX build with a Mini 970 requiring 1 six pin or one 6+2 connector, I'm not entirely certain. I'm just wandering if the Corsair VS650 power supply has the right cabling for a GTX 1080? I have a bigger case now to provide room for a full size, however lack the knowledge to determine whether or not my PSU will be sufficient! Thanks in advance

Solution
yep it does but its a low quality corsair one. (say vs their RM series or HX, AX)
For $50 its a bargain for a seasonic s12 ii 620w.

The problem with low quality PSUs is that hey can fry other equipment if they go bust. its a gamble

According to Corsair it has 2x PCIe (6+2 pins) connectors:

The GTX1080 has one 8 pin power port, so you have the right cables.

Be sure to run your system through a power supply calculator to make sure 650 watts is enough:

Thanks for the swift response, is my vs650 a realistic risk? my output on a tdp calculator is 468 watts with a 1080 at full clocks. Would there be a likely event of it failing? Or are you saying better quality power supplies less vindictive when dying? haha

Thanks man, would you reccommend a tier 1-2? Do you know if any relatively cheaper 650W tier 1-2's you can vouch for?

Can anyone reccommend me the best 650W PSU out there? So I can get a guess on a price range? Not looking to spend £80+ really, but if I have too I will! Thanks, keep in mind I have an MINI atx build, not sure if PSU's vary in model sizes or are universal, thanks again!

I would only use a Tier 1 or 2 PSU with an expensive GPU. I bought a Seasonic G450 about a year ago. I am not sure if they make a 650watt version in that series. I think the Seasonic s12 ii 620watt would be a good fit for you as recommended above. Anything from Seasonic, EVGA, or Corsair in Tier 1 or 2 would be acceptable.
