I build a pc 2 months ago and yesterday, after I put into sleep function it wouldn't turn on again. the motherboards lights are still shining, but there is no other sign of life... I have tried to disconnect everything except of CPU, motherboard, RAM, and case buttons. I have tried to start it by shortening the pins on the motherboard. I think it must be the CPU, do you know anything?? Thank you!!

Solution
If it didn't work you can put together back.
But it should've worked.
Weird, motherboard shouldn't die like that, try again but without PSU, do all the steps, but keep ram in it, now try to get stuck the power button or short out power button for 1-2minutes at least, as i've done that to my PC as if didn't work first time.

Because i have/had issue with my pc, put it to sleep its dead.

Did you disconnect storage when you tried?

Yeah I did disconnect both of my harddisk. after holding the power button and reinserting the ram stick, should I connect my PSU power cable and CMOS battery?

By pulling the cmos battery and unplugging the PSU, when you hold the power button down it drains all the residual power in the caps on the motherboard and in the PSU. Basically forcing the Bios the reset to factory defaults since there is no power in the system to try and retain any new settings.
