what is a good gaming graphics card for around $400 - $500 I have an ASUS H170 Pro Gaming MB.

Hi , in that price range you are looking at R9 380 or R9 390X. But i'd suggest to go for GTX 1060 if you can put in extra 100$.

OCCASIONALLY you might be able to find a 1070 for around $500, if you get lucky.

If you don't totally need one because yours is dead, I would wait to see if prices go down to normal for the video cards.
