I am still using Windows 7, I tried Windows 10 when you were able to upgrade for free and I absolutely hated it and went back to 7 mainly because I like how simple Windows 7 is and I know excatly where everything is propably mainly because I grew up with Windows XP and then later jumped to Windows 7. I currently have GTX 670 and I recently only found out that DX12 is only supported on Windows 10 and GTX 670 has some DX12 features but not all. I'm unsure what features it has so is it worth it to upgrade to Windows 10 just for DX12 support on a GTX 670? Will I actually gain any performance or visual benefits on a GTX 670? I do play GTA V on DX11 so I wonder what I can actually gain. I'm going to be formatting my SSD soon for its annual format and I'm thinking of getting Windows 10 since I will need to eventually upgrade when Windows 7 starts to become a bit outdated in gaming world.

Not unless the game is dx12 only, there's no point. Things are at different places from xp to 7. The same control panel is still in 10 to get to most of the settings if you wish but you should just get used to the new menus if you get 10. It's hardly any different and any difference is simple to get used to. I'd say 10 is more simple.
