$4k is a bit expensive for a gaming PC don't ya think? Yeah it is a good rig but you can save like a grand by dropping from x299 and a 7820x to Z370 and a core i7 8700k If all your doing is gaming you'd be an idiot to buy this, however are you doing heavy video editing or like atomic research in your spare time? This system is wayy to over powered for just gaming. If you want a gaming rig get away from X99 or x299 and go with Z370 and an I7 8700k youll spend less and have a better experience.

I mean if you're spending money just to spend money, this will do, but it won't actually perform any better than a $2000 gaming rig. So many of the parts seem to have just been selected because they were the most expensive option, not because of any logical process.

Well, you're right, it is very very VERY pricey, but a friend picked the parts for me so that's why I wanted to ask what other people thought of it. If you have any incite on which parts I should use instead, please do tell.^^

Alrighty, noted, and thanks for the incite! I've actually been looking for a way to cut the price but not the performance, so, if you have any other opinion, please do tell. Also, what monitor would you suggest I should get with the PC?^^

Yeah, X99 and up are not really for gaming, that's for professional workloads like video editing and heavy multitasking, it can game but it will be better on a mainstream platform, like z370 for example its a mainstream platform that you can get a Core I7 8700k which will be better at gaming that what you already have and that will save a bunch of money dropping the price down closer to like 2500 or so, also a 2tb SSD? Like WTF, get one likes like 128 gb's for your OS and frequently used files like Word or something, then get like a 6 or 8tb hard drive if you need the storage, it will be slower but you'll have way more storage for cheaper.

I believe my friend that you have a pretty badass system for almost exactly 1k less, its still a bit heavy on the ram, a 4x8gb kit is a bit more expensive than a 2x16 gb kit, here this one knocks of 50 dollars and its faster rated RAM something you'll want for gaming, also it will run dual channel which is almost always better than quad channel. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232091&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Memory+%28Desktop+Memory%29-_-N82E16820232091&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoY7VBRDtARIsAHWoO-I6VFk62QPn9BE3BCLzIncMvXP_u2gIiW6WmGw2zcGTWiUS69d9koUaAm1UEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

No need to open a new thread for every possible build you want. Edit the OP with the newest details so people see that. Lets stick to this thread ok?

As for the build I don't see anything horrible other than rather expensive. For 1080 gaming the 1080TI is way overkill. You might want to drop down to a 1070 or similar. Building yourself would of course be cheaper. The 1080TI is a $1k+ GPU, and win10 is $100. There is no way the rest of that is worth ~$2k.

The update's looking a lot more practical (though you're still giving more money away by having them do it, though at least you're not going with the cutrate builders). As noted above, get 2x16. It's a terrific power supply, but also overkill, and do you have a monitor that can take advantage of a 1080 Ti?

Unless your running like 4k or 1440p and like 120hz or 1080p at like 240hz your not gonna take full advantage of your card, also you can easily build your PC yourself, go on Youtube and search up LinusTechTips (if you don't know them already) and go through and watch some videos on different motherboard sized how to build a gaming pc and such. In a few hours you should have all the knowledge you need to build a pc, it's very simple it's like lego's for adults.

As much as I want to build it myself, I'm in a situation where it's more practical for me to just have it pre-built. Btw dude, would it be better if I got the 1080 instead of the 1080 Ti? that and I changed my power supply to 750W. Oh, and what monitor would you suggest I get?

A move to the 1080 sounds like a good deal, since your not running at 4k you don't need that much horsepower. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009993&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Monitors+-+LCD+Flat+Panel-_-N82E16824009993&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoY7VBRDtARIsAHWoO-J5HhFtebkjivaQPcrNHwKYbGdnvA6epWaB8BqyYjEK0lukROYstyIaAnMgEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
this is one of my favorite monitors it should do you well for 1080p gaming on a 1080

Alrighty, noted! As for the monitor, I was planning to get one after the PC. Would you have any suggestions on which monitor would best utilize the 1080 Ti?

A 1080 ti is a pretty balz to the wall card so, anything 4k or 1440p at 120hz is fine, or 1080p 240hz will do you good for a 1080ti, so would you rather super high FPS at 1080p or super nice res at 4k at round 60 or so FPS?

No problem, but before you decide to have someone build it for you do a but of research into it, you can really save by building ti yourself and its super easy, I have been building them since I was 14.
