hello,
I have an I7 4790 (not overclocked), and a gtx 750 which I did overclock, but forsome reason they are both allegedly running at 90c. Could these temps be incorrect? I have like 5 extra fans, 3 in 2 out which is why I really doubt these temps. Any insight as to what is happening is appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry for the late answer, I just saw this.

Check temperatures, idle and under load. There are several programs you can use, one free program is AIDA64 or OCCT. Make a simple search to find the programs.

Open the case and look for filth & dust. You should clean your computer once every 3 months if on a desk in a relatively dust free area. If you live where a lot of dust blows around outside, clean it every month.

I wouldn't imagine they really are 90°C, it has to be a problem with the monitoring software or the motherboard. Maybe even something silly like temps are in °F (90F is about normal idle temp). Try reinstalling your monitoring software and looking for updated motherboard drivers.

Purchase a can of compressed air, they can be found at Wal-Mart and other places, take the computer outside to clean it out, check fans, radiator and heatsinks - everywhere including the one on the CPU. [Some computers come with a CPU water cooler, if it has a shroud remove it and do a good air cleaning of the radiator.

If your computer is cleaned keep the cover off and look to see if all of the fans are turning, including the one one the CPU.

If you are using a stock Intel heatsink one of the legs may have come loose. If this is the issue, leave a post and I will tell you the best way to properly install it.

If you applied your own thermal compound, such as Acrtic Silver 5, you will need to remove the CPU heatsink and re-apply it after 10 or 12 months. Some heatsink compounds dry or seperate and leave cracks for heat build up.

If you need help doing the last two suggestions above leave a post here please.
