Overdrive didnt work on K16 Jaguar APUs.
But K15tweaker workds on K16 apus and Will make your CPU goes faster thanany Kaveri because tyour A8-7410 has individual cores! You can lock your throttling speed to the MAX multiplier so your CPU Will run at 4x2.2ghz when using GPU (remember turbo mode didnt work when using GPU power, and CPU throttles to 1.4ghz).
You can win +50%fps doing that but whats your temperaturas, this CPU is limited to 15w... if you disable Turbo on options (set eco mode) and then use K15tweaker to get the CPU to 2.2ghz min speed… it can reach 90ºC... get some cooling before do that.
Your cpu when gaming = 1.4ghz, imagine how it Will performs going at 2.2ghz, on PerformanceTest9 main screen (that shows FPS it changes from 350fps to 500+fps.
K15tweaker its on japanese but isnt hard to use. The fun fact is that K15tweaker was made because Amd Overdrive Works very bad on K15 "NON FX" apus (because POWER LIMIT, as i said its 15w on yours) so:
Disabling Turbo first (set cpu on power saving), and boosting power manually with K15Tweaker (IT WORKS ON K16 CPUS!!! =D) Will make your A8-7410 run faster tan an i3. But power Will change from 15w to 35w... watch your temperatures, do it at your own risk!
Remember your A8-7410 its the same CPU you Will find on Xbox or PS4, you can make it run theyr real POWER and its awesome how can it move, if you get a dedicated GPU (like Radeon R7 M260) you can get P-state3 from 1.4->2.2ghz (your max speed) aaaand more performance than i3 or i5.
But, do at your own risk, and BE CAREFUL WITH TEMPERATURES, the cooling is designed for 15w+ not for 35w.
Integraded GPU CANT be overclocked, but you can get "lower latency" memory = faster memory = more fps.
I Will make thread on the OVERCLOCK section this weekend with a COMPLETE GUIDE to overclock your A4/A6/A8-K16 APU, dont worry you can wait until i make it.
i tried to overclock my HP 15-bg004au (A8-7410) with Overdrive but it came out with this error
"AMD overdrive cannot detect amd cpu on this computer or the current processor doesnot support overdrive."
i'm really frustrated answer asap please.
