What do I do with my old build? Donate/Sell/Recycle? Help!

Going to make a new build and I need to fully replace a lot of parts.

-Full Tower Case: got super busted over the course of a couple moves and needs to be replaced.
-1155 Asus Motherboard: PCI port is broken, so this is basically garbage.
-16g DDR3 RAM: Nothing wrong with it per so, but obsolete, needs to be replaced in a future build.
-1155 2500k Processor: Nothing wrong with it per se, but obsolete, especially as the mobo is busted.

So I'm kinda stuck as I'm 99% sure that I need to make a whole new build from scratch, but before I start digging into what that would look like I want to figure out what I'll be doing with my old computer.

Do I recycle this somehow? Go to a local store or contact a recycling facility? I live in the Bay Area and I assume there some kind of eco-friendly something that would help.

Should I donate? Sell? Recycle? I honestly have no idea and could really use advice.

Also related, my GPU will make it to the next build, and I'm assuming my PSU, 1TB HDD and 120gb SSD will make it to the next build (even though these could all probably be upgraded - except the GPU, that's new and pretty beastly).

Solution
The Motherboard, you can dispose or recycle it right away.

The rest, there are three ways you can go about it...

> Get a cheap motherboard and keep using the rig.

> Sell the 2500k and buy a used 4th gen. cpu/mobo, something like a 4770k + z87/z97 board, and reuse the 16gb DDR3(RAM prices are haywire atm). But it depends on what price/condition you get them.

> Sell both the i5 and RAM and upgrade to a current gen. platform(Intel/AMD).

The third option should be the best for you.

Note: If money is not an issue for you, you should seriously reconsider ^^USAF suggestion.

If it's still a fully working system, donate.
Homeless shelter, womens shelter, some family that would otherwise not have a PC at all.

No reason to simply throw it out.
Spread the wealth.

If the parts are actually "broken", recycle bin.

If your taking parts out that won't allow the system to function, then you can just sell the parts, or donate them to me (JK), but really though theres no use in giving i away if it won't work since your taking out the PSU HDD and SSD.
Edit: By giving it away I mean don't donate it to a shelter or something if it wont work, try donating it to FreeGeek if you have one near by they can fix it and they will either sell it or donate it.
