Only mother board is hot

So my fiend was playing CS GO and all of a sudden his computer shuts down. We start it up again and we see that the mother board was 70 celsius. Everything else was normal... like 30c-40c. We were wondering if it is a bad sign and should we do something about it?

Yes, it is a bad sign, the lifetime of your board (and maybe other components) will be reduced.
What is the name of the board? Which CPU?
