Computer won’t POST after upgrading CPU and clearing CMOS

Hi,

I upgraded my cpu from a fx 6300 to an fx8350. I went through all the steps correctly replacing it and nothing was out of order until I tried turning it on. When I turn it on, case lights and fans on everything start spinning, but I get no output to my monitor, not even the bios splash. The screen just stays dark, I’ve checked to see if everything is receiving power and it is. The keyboard and mouse also don’t receive power either and do not light up. I cleared the CMOS with the jumper pins and got nowhere, then tried clearing CMOS with the battery and still got no where. So after praying to the gods for the day to see if it would do something, I have given up all hope and will need help or advice on what to do.

Specs are:

CPU FX 6300
RAM 16GB HyperX DDR3
GPU ZOTAC 1060 6GB
MOBO Asrock 970 pro3 r2.0
PSU Corsair cx500w
HDD WD Red 2tb
OS Windows 10 home

Forget about the cpu upgrade, if you used the PC for games. Return the fx8350, save more money to upgrade to Ryzen cpu+ new MB+ new DDR4. Because you just wasted the money on fx8350.

What they said. Everything AMD before Ryzen for the last 10 years was absolute garbage. Ryzen is amazing and the CPU socket AM4 will receive, after this year's Ryzen 2 release, 3 more generations of new CPUs.
It requires an upgrade to DDR4 however, but worth every cent.

To answer your issue, downgrading the BIOS didn't work, you should try updating it.
