I want to upgrade from gts 450 to gtx1050ti with my current pentium dual core e5700

Solution
I suggest you to build complete new system, save up bucks and buy when you got it.
Because 1050Ti wont get full potential with Quad core neither with Dual Core, yes you may use it but its pointless, as Q6600 can barley run GTA 5 and other games, ESEA games like dota 2 and CSGO (competitive ones) can run fine, but CSGO is more depended on CPU.

Well whats your budget then?
Haswell and ivy bridge can run very well, and they are cheap to come.
What are the rest of specs?
Motherboard-
PSU-
Ram-

Because 1050ti might not work on 775 platform however you turn, GTS 450 is resonable budget gpu which is capable of running GTA 5 and that games (except AAA titles).
The only big issue that im seeing is that you're using Dual core and thats pentium.

I would buy a total new system, save up a buck and build new one, its better.

Solution
You still need platform upgrade 775 is obsolete for these games, i tried running Dying Light 30fps with stuttering, Q6600 4GB and R7 250.
If you need it now 750Ti with 2GB model would suit you but beware for fake card.
You will maintain 30-60fps depends on resolution.
But still CPU is main problem.

And whats your budget?
