Hi guys,

So my current build is:

Intel i7 5820K
Asus ROG X99S Gaming
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB 3000MHz (4X4GB)
EVGA GTX 1080Ti
Corsair 750W

Now previously on the same CPU but MSI GAMING7 mobo I was running 4.5GHz at 1.3V, Now when I go to set the same clock and voltage the system is completely unstable, sometimes posts then crashes and sometimes it wont post.

Iv’e started small and worked my way up but cant get any clocks to work, I’m currently using the “performance mode” from within the BIOS which sets the clock speed to 4GHz with 1.168V.

Iv’e gone up in small increments from this but still cant get anything stable above 4GHz.

Any idea’s anybody, I know iv’e read a few times people have trouble Overclocking on the X99 platform but this is awful.

Thank!

What settings are you using now vs. previous board? What happened to last board? I can provide the info I remember from my previous X99 Deluxe board from ASUS and 5820k. I had mine at 4.4Ghz, uncore at 4Ghz. RAM I had to run at 2666(16GB) due to IMC limitations, though I tightened the timings.
