Hi, A Microsoft win 10 service disabled my USB keyboard and mouse access to my system. System kinda dead with no way to access it. I have 2 desktop systems with different MB's but both have a PS/2 combo port. So I obtained a PS/2 keyboard and mouse and a splitter cable. When I try to use them in either MB the mouse works but the keyboard doesn't. I obtain a new different splitter cable. With that one the keyboard works but the mouse does not on both MB's. Is there some particular type of splitter that needs to be used to make this work?? Other question would be, Why put in a combo port if it doesn't work?? All I'm doing is I'm looking for a backup in case Microsoft screws it up again.
