I need to use a GP106 or better in a 3U rackmount case. It's for multi-stream video transcoding, and the GP107 has a limitation preventing it from encoding more than 2 streams, so it's got to be a GTX 1060 or better, which rules out the possibility of using a low-profile card.
The case has no riser card, so the card will be plugged vertically. I'm concerned there's not room for the auxiliary power to plug into the top edge of the card.
If anyone has experience working around that, using adapters like these:
