Seeking GTX 1060, 1070, or 1080 with auxiliary power connector on short edge.

I need to use a GP106 or better in a 3U rackmount case. It's for multi-stream video transcoding, and the GP107 has a limitation preventing it from encoding more than 2 streams, so it's got to be a GTX 1060 or better, which rules out the possibility of using a low-profile card.

The case has no riser card, so the card will be plugged vertically. I'm concerned there's not room for the auxiliary power to plug into the top edge of the card.

If anyone has experience working around that, using adapters like these:

...or knows of a card (other than Quadro) with the power connector on the end, please reply. I'm sure I read a news article or review about such a card on here, maybe 1-2 years ago. Can't seem to find it, though.

Thanks.

One thing I remembered was this:

https://www.evga.com/articles/01051/evga-powerlink/

Now, I thought I remembered an article about a GTX card shortly thereafter which had re-oriented the connectors, and that article referenced this device as a way to achieve the same thing with other cards. Still searching...
