BD Drive Wrong Firmware

I have a Pioneer DBR 206 DBK drive that shows under Manage/properties/hardware id - as having firmware
1.56. According to Pioneer Firmware site it should be Firmware 1.06. I tried to update the firmware to 1.06 and it will not change but says it already has the latest firware.

What is wrong and what should I do.

You can't "update" from new firmware to older version, and why would you want to anyway?

1.56 is later than 1.06 by my arithmetic.

It does indeed already have the latest firmware (1.56).

If the drive in question performs as it should, that's what really matters, so I don't see the problem. Don't fret about firmware numbers.

Pioneer firmware support page states that 1.06 IS the latest firmware not 1.56....... I do not know how 1.56 got on it. If you will look 1.56 is correct firmware for another vs. of this drive not 206D but I believe it was 206UBK
