MSI Titan GT80 w/ KillerNetworking E2200 Ethernet capped at 200mbps

I have an MSI GT80 (Titan) that I purchased in 2015. It is still relatively current, in that I have upgraded the drives and memory recently such that this thing still remains somewhat competitive. It is fast, and can run most modern games maxed out.

However, gaming is not all I do. I am a developer by trade, and recently - upgraded to Gigabit internet in my area. I purchased my wife an MSI (slimmer profile, and lower specced) Notebook pc recently also (about ~2 months ago). When plugging her laptop into the same network switch port, using the same Cat5e cable, her notebook gets about 950Mbps throughput, without breaking a sweat. It also gets about 45Mbps upload.

On the other hand, when I plug MY basically-mobile-workstation into that network port and using the same Cat5e cable, I basically max out my throughput at 185-195 Mbps. Upload speed similarly runs at around 45Mbps.

I have -no- clue what is limiting this. Absolutely none whatsoever.

Other things to consider:
* I do have the KillerNetworking control panel installed, however, I set the bandwidth limits at around 10,000 for upload and download.
* I have tried the bandwidth test in multiple browsers, in case there was some software limitation that I did not know about.
* I have checked the BIOS and there is nothing in there about the NIC.

I do the majority of my work over VPN to my employer, and this would be a great asset to my day-to-day work, so feedback and assistance in resolving this absolute pain, will be greatly appreciated!

The vpn will greatly limit your speed if you are testing over vpn. Your CPU load is likely at 100%.

Killer network stuff is mostly marketing smoke and mirrors. They have had massive issues with their drivers and strange problems seems they patch one thing and another occurs. They offer a driver will all the killer features removed. I would try that and see if you see any difference.

I was not on VPN at the time. I know that will have a performance impact.

I removed all the Killer networking bloatware and drivers and all that. Once I did that and rebooted and let windows load the device normally, my download speed went to 900mbps.

Thanks!
