i7 7700k + GTX 1080 SC, in a ATX case with 2 intake at front 1 exhaust at back and top. The CPU cooler is a EVO 212 with one fan exhausting through the back. I do plan to upgrade to a liquid cooled CPU but right now that's what I have. Right now because of the shortage of GPU's I have my old 750Ti paired with a 7700k. The temps reach about 68C with GPU at full load. That's getting to the uncomfortable temps for me. Now the question is once I get my 1080 SC im expecting the temps to go way higher because the CPU is gonna be breathing all of the hot air exhausted by the GPU. From what ive seen the 1080 can go up to 80C or above. My 750 Ti only went to like 55C meaning the temperatures with the 1080 the CPU is gonna almost overheat. Let me know your thoughts about this, i'm a little curious about it. Thanks

Solution
not great, high 70's low 80's on the cpu depending on how hard you push the fans and noise. A better air cooler will do everything you need with less risk.

A few bits of info for you:

68C on the CPU is not a problem, mid 70's are not a problem, not desirable but not worrisome.
80C on the GPU is not a problem, below 85 is fine, 85-90 is a little worrying and ideally something to resolve, 90+ you want to avoid.

Read this for the CPU: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html

Yeah, I thought the same. What would be your recommendation for air cooler and liquid cooler for a CPU.
I'm looking at the Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 as my best option.
