Noob here. I need a new cooler and fan for my CPU. I have no idea what is and is not compatible with my hardware.

I wanted to get this one. Does anyone know if it will fit? If not could you please make a few sub-$100 Suggestions? I have trust in Noctua.

Noctua NH-D15 6 heatpipe with Dual NF-A15 140mm fans

Specs:

Mobo: MSI 970A-643
CPU: AMD FX-6350 Sic-Core Processor 3.9 Ghz

That's way overkill for that system even considering max OC you could achieve with that motherboard. Case has only Max CPU Cooler Height Allowance of 168 mm so that cooler would stick out quite a bit.
Something like this: http://www.lc-power.com/en/product/power-supplies/lc-cc-120/ would be quite sufficient and fit in easily.

Is there a comparable Noctua brand version on amazon? I am trying to batch orders.

It may be of note to keep in mind that I work with various 3d softwares and not all use GPU for rendering. It is quite often that the CPU goes under heavy load. Sound is also a huge concern here.

that case will accept a 168mm cooler, per the newegg specification list, and the Noctua NH-D15 is 160MM tall, so it should fit with no issue (8mm = approx 5/16"). You might want to consider the Noctua NH-D15S, as it gives you more room for tall ram - there's nothing wrong with over cooling your cpu

in considering other coolers, cooler mfgrs will list the height of the cooler on their web site, as will the case mfgr.
That's the primary fit consideration, the secondary is the height of your ram, and how much room the cooler allows under the tower and how far over the ram the cooler reaches. Here's a link to Noctua's cooler selection page ( https://noctua.at/en/products/cpu-cooler-retail ) - if you go to any of their coolers you'll see blue prints showing side elevations, so you can decide for yourself if a particular cooler will fit
