Having an issue with a new build. The motherboard won’t power up, no lights, fans or beeps. The PSU passes the paper clip test.
I have read through the steps found here (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems) and done them all. I haven’t tried anything that isn’t listed there.
PSU: Thermaltake litepower 450W
Motherboard: ASRock AB350M Pro4
CPU: Ryzen 3 1300X
RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x4GB
It is currently breadboarded.
Basically I’m conceding that the mobo is probably dead.
Is there a test similar to the paper clip test to definitively tell if the motherboard is dead?
Also if it is dead, is there a way to determine if the issue was present when I bought it, or if it died from static?
Also does anyone have experience returning motherboard that are defective?
