Should I get a 1060 or 1070 with an i5 processor?

Hello,
I'm thinking of getting either a 1060 or a 1070 with an i5 processor.
Monitor will be 1080p 144hz.
Where to go from there?
Planning to play games like pubg, fornite, gta, far cry, tomb raider etc

Hope you mean an 8400/8600K, as I would not even consider a 4c/4t older i5 (sub-6700/sub-7700)for today's games, or, more importantly, tomorrow's games.

The 1060 is not really capable of 144 Hz framerates in most games....unless you are playing old games...
