Was going to upgrade my system because my 250gb 960 evo isn’t enough space for me rn

But when I was going to buy a storage HDD it keeps saying:
The motherboard M.2 slot #2 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.

What I want and the error that comes up (do not have the HDD yet):

So my question is: Will my m.2 or HDD not work if I buy the HDD and plug it in my mobo?

Solution
The M2 slot shares sata bus lanes with HDD/SSD slots. Assuming you have one M2 installed, you still have 5 other slots to populate with HDD/SSD. There is no reason not to buy it.
So, the answer is, you can buy it and 4 more of those and it should work flawlessly.
