[SOLVED] Ram for Rampage Extreme 3 Mobo

Hello!

I need some assistance in finding G.Skill RAM for my Rampage Extreme III Motherboard. I had 6 gigs of G.Skill RAM and most of the G.Skill RAM Sticks listed on the QVL are not available when I search on NewEgg. There are other G.Skill RAM listed on there but not the same exact model listed on the QVL. I am looking to upgrade to 16gig or so. Thank you for the help!

a "ram configurator". Look for your motherboard and the 12gb set i linked above will be mentioned.
Your own set used right now is mentioned as well. ;)

These sets are in the QVL for your motherboard which imo are close enough to say you will have no problems running that 12gb set,

G.SKILL F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB(3 x 2GB) DS - - 9-9-9-24 1.5-1.6

I also think it just might be possible (it needs testing) to combine your ram with that 12gb...

Look at the QVL as a guidance,they just cannot test all makers ram on their motherboard.

For new could you look at something like this since specificallly looking at G.Skill.,

but do look at used as well.

If you want to try and add to what you have,which sometimes may not work and normally isn't adviced,would i need to know what is on the motherboard right now. The tool cpu-z might give the partnr under the spd tab.

Vic 40 Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have two following Questions.
Is anything listed on pcpartpicker.com as a compatible option going to work without any issues?
Secondly the RAM i have in my PC right now is https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231304
The 12Gig Ram you suggested on partpicker is what i was looking at myself but just wanted to make sure it would work well in my system.

Thank you again for your time and please let me know if there is any other option to add to my existing RAM since its sold out on Newegg. :)

I also think it just might be possible (it needs testing) to combine your ram with that 12gb set with abit of tinkering,but that can be found out later if you want to.
