MSI G31M3-L is the motherboard and the gpu is GTX 460. will it fit? i know that the slot is compatibile but is it posible not to fit by size? i mean can it be too big for the mobo?

the question should:
does your case can still fit the graphic card or is your power supply strong enough for the graphic card.

The answer to your question is yes, definitely yes.
What slot? PCIe x16 slot. The mobo has only one of this, so, the chance to screw up is very small.

case and psu are yet to came :) . i will buy them in near future. the case would be brand new so it will fit i guess. and psu i will make sure it has 500W and two 6pin connectors. i've tried to place this gpu to my friends pc but it was to big, the gpu was hitting the LAN cable slot...
