Overall, most products are being made to not be repairable or repairable only with experience and careful effort.
However, depending on the risks and possible loss of your purchase amount - you could attempt a repair.
First try a return to the seller since the RGB strip is defective. If the seller declines then try a repair.
The repair will most likely require you to cut out a section of RGB wires and then solder the remaining sections together.
Most likely a very sensitive and delicate process requiring some soldering skills in the least.
Get to the point of "nothing left to lose". Then try your own fix - soldering, shrink wrap, whatever.....
