My gpu is turning bad, looking for options

My gpu has been the source of issues for about 1 month now with my pc. It's worked fine for 2 years up until now, and recently it's started giving me a black screen whenever I load up a demanding game and I need to restart the pc for it to work again.

I know it has to be the gpu because i've tested another psu and it kept on happening, and upon testing another gpu it stopped happening immediately. So right now I don't even know if it can be sold for any purpose (it works just fine if I don't play any games, but that kind of is the sole purpose of a gpu) or if it can be fixed in any way.

I have unscrewed the gpu (it's a 980ti) and the capacitors seem fine to me, but I haven't gotten too much information on how to check for physical damage other than that. So, all in all, I don't really know if I can keep on using the card with some sort of fix or if it can be sold for whatever money and get a new one. Any idea is welcome.

Yeah it's overclocked but by factory. I turned it down and it helped for a while but it didn't solve it, unfortunately.

Thank you for the suggestions, yeah I was thinking of buying a 1070 but it kind of sucks that the price has gone up so much.
