Why is my 7700k cpu hotter when gaming?

I am using 7700k with cryorig h7 cooler at stock speeds. I have a b250 micro atx board.
I runned some blend test with prime 95 and the max temp were around 65.
Then I ran this assassin creed origin and the temp spiked upto 75 degree. at the min temp were around 69 degree.

My graphic card is msi gtx 1070 with load temp of 70 degree.
I got a mid tower case with 3 fans. I have properly kept the thermal paste too.
Is this due to my case?

from your picture, i think the air flow is pretty bad, because your got a 7700k, 1070 has less bottleneck and run close to 80~100% of it's full capacity, dumping all that hot air inside of the case,

1. see if you can remove the 5.25 cage from the top,
2. route all your cable from the back of the motherboard if possible, otherwise use cable tie and tape down the loose cables.
3. add a front fan above your current current front fan,
4. modify/tweak your cpu fan setting to be more aggressive,

It can be due to low case airflow, when you stress test it is using CPU while gaming uses everything, so the extra heat from the GPU can mess with the CPU temp as-well. I would if I were you send a pic of your case showing the inside.. (I can maybe/hopefully help more then)

Your temps aren't that bad, i know its at stock speeds but you can thank poor Tim for that cpu model, plenty improvements can be had delidding.

As said your gpu would be addind heat if its an open cooler design. Your cryorig would make use of a 2nd fan opposite side, if you have space id try that to get air moving quicker.

My case pic. Would it be better if i put the cooler vertically meaning the fan face towards gpu

No that would upset air flow from front case fans along with forcing more hot air from gpu if orientation was upwards.

You have room for another fan on heatsink. Thanks for pic btw.

Add another fan, will help pull air and help your original fan. Should make a difference.
