I have a sapphire rx 480 Nitro+

the GPU just seemed to stop working over night.
the LED logo comes on but no fans and MOBO LED indicates that it cant detect a GPU ( i also have no on-board IGPU) so i just get a black screen.

I have tired a 1050 in my system that worked fine. SO i tired my 480 in another system same issue.
i also tired a 7770 in my system that didnt work either but that card worked in the other system.

When i booted using the 1050 it was doing windows updates.
not sure if that has something to do with it.

System:
r5 1500x
8gb ddr4
MSI b350 gaming plus MOBO.
500w PSU
and the faulty rx 480.

Thank you guys.

Solution
try flashing the most recent version of your motherboard bios. There is also a chance that the pcie slot is clogged with dust try cleaning it out with a can of compressed air and check all your cables and power connections. sometimes disassembling and reassembling your pc works out too... wierd! I know right?
