I have Asus k42jc laptop. In it I have one slot with ssy3128m8-edjef memory and another slot with ad73l1b1672eg memory. I have Windows 7x64 and it boots up and I have 3GB memory... But I now have M471B5173DB0-YK0 memory stick at hand and would like to install it to increase memory... Is it possible? Why not if so? The best would be to have ad73l1b1672eg in one slot and M471B5173DB0-YK0 in another - this way I'll have 6GB of RAM... I've tried...
When I put ONLY M471B5173DB0-YK0 and press power button, power-button lights up and then turns off totally...
When I put M471B5173DB0-YK0 and ad73l1b1672eg the laptop turns on and in bios I can see 6gb but then when I boot: I see windows 7 logo and ... instead of "rotating light-balls aka boot-animation" the windows says "Seems there were hardware changes" Choose: "Try to fix" "Normal boot" and choosing any results in repeating this again and again..
Also when (I don't remember which in what slot and in what combination) I tried to put M471B5173DB0-YK0 and one of those two sticks and pressed power button laptop seemed working but was showing only black screen (without back-light)
When I put back the ssy3128m8-edjef and ad73l1b1672eg it works but I want memory upgrade using M471B5173DB0-YK0...
