I would really like to buy a new graphics card but my 300w psu is quite the set back.

My current specs:
CPU: AMD A10 7800
RAM: 12gb ddr3
GPU: Integrated R7 graphics
PSU: 300w

I was looking at the rx 460 but I read that a 400w PSU is recommended for that. Would a 1050 or 1050 ti be a better card to get? I would just like to have a card that can play modern titles at 1080p and really any settings.

Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Nvidia recommends a minimum of 300 watt PSU for the 1050ti. It should work in your system, I would just not OC your CPU.

Interesting that AMD recommends 400 for the RX460, and Nvidia recommends 300 for the 1050Ti, since they're both rated as 75W TDP video cards.

That said, the 1050Ti is a bit better of a performer, so I'd go with Froggy's recommendation.

You really cant take much stock in the minimum power requirements provided by AMD and Nvidia considering the power variance between components. I think a 460 would run just fine on that PSU despite what AMD says, but I would rather have a 1050ti.
