Will I need a new motherboard?

I am considering buying a i7 and i want to know if i will need if i need a new motherboard.....
current specs:

i5 6400
16gb ddr4 corsair vengeance
asus geforce 1070
gigabyte h110m-s2h

At the least, you will need a BIOS update to support the new CPU. You would use your old CPU yo update the BIOS.

im not bothered about over clocking, and idm which i7 i get.... which do you recommend for over all performance and price? i dont want to spend too much cash as i am saving for a car!

As liquid stated, any 6th or 7th gen I7's will work without a need to replace the board, but the "K" series is a waste of the extra money since your existing board does not support the overclocking that the "K" series offers. Any other I7 will require a change of mobo as well.
